Join us on the evening of Thursday 22nd September and gain a new perspective on how challenges can unleash – rather than limit – potential.
Broadcast live from Ironworks Studios, Silicon Brighton and Diverse Sussex present an inspiring evening exploring practical steps you can take within your organisation – from quick wins to long-term impactful changes – to drive diversity within your business, making you both a supplier and employer of choice.
Hear from Darren Harris, a dual Paralympian and England’s most capped and decorated blind footballer. Outside of sports he is a number one best-selling author, motivational speaker and transformational coach, and he has an amazing story to tell…
Darren received a life-changing diagnosis of cancer in both eyes aged 15 months, that would eventually result in him losing his sight. After graduating in 1995 with a maths degree, he spent the next nine years working in the technology industry by day and as a blind footballer by night.
Fast-forward to 2019, Darren ended his career as an England blind footballer, having made 157 appearances and won 10 world and European medals. But playing the game taught him more than he could have ever imagined about life’s biggest challenges.
Now, he works with organisational talent that want to change how they see themselves, other people, and the world around them so that they can achieve their true potential.
Darren will be joined by a panel to discuss the challenge of inequality in the technology sector.
